I’ve just started playing Battlefield Hardline’s single campaign mode and it is a thrill to play Hardline on my Xbox One. It’s more like watching a TV Cop show with the ability to interact and be immersed within the show and it’s events. I’m now into Episode 5 and the gameplay of Battlefield Hardline has been quite addictive so far.
The Battlefield series has to be one of the finest first-person hardcore shooter series with some superb graphics. But unlike the other Battlefield versions that mainly deal with military warfare, Battlefield Hardline focuses on crime, heist and policing elements.
As the game starts, we’re put in the midst of a drug war embroiled in Miami. We play as the Officer Nick Mendoza (played by Nicholas Gonzalez) who has just made detective. Our partner is the veteran detective Khai Minh Dao (played by Kelly Hu).

You’ll be playing as Mendoza who has to follow the drug supply chain from the streets to the source. Along the way you have to deal with dirty cops, off-the-books cases, and you soon realize that power and corruption are affecting both sides of the law. Well, that’s so far the story that I’ve gotten played.
By the way, the 3D models of the actual actors are quite remarkable, especially of Captain Julian Dawes (played by Benito Martinez) who has appeared in such shows as The Shield, House of Cards, Supernatural, and 24.
I’ll surely try the multiplayer version of the game as well once I get good at the controls, as there are some really mean gamers out there :).
